At DISKMANdotNet, we don't 'just' build web sites.  All web sites we deliver are based on a Content Management System (CMS).  This means that once we deliver to you, you can then manage the content on your web site.

Of course unless you are a 'super web-guru' kind of person you will need some training and this is why we provide 2 hours of training with every Web Site CMS quote.

All web sites, be they a full-on web site or minimal one are based on the same CMS.  This provides the maximum flexibilty, so that your web site grows as you do.  In fact the only limitations once you get us to set up your CMS web site is A) your imagination and B) how much space you have purchased with us for your Web Hosting.

Unlike other CMS web site providers we do not charge per page or by how many images you upload.  If you ever run out of space in your hosting, simply get us to upgrade your hosting plan (upgrade fee applys), then you're off again!

STANDARD WEB SITE PACKAGE

Our standard (minimum) website package includes the following features:

5 Content Pages

Your CMS web site can include as a minimum these pages:

  • Home page
  • About Us page
  • Products/Services page
  • Contact Us page
  • SiteMap page
You can get started with all of these, or simply just the Home & Contact Pages.  Any pages not used at the start will be marked as 'unpublished' but ready for you to enter your content, and 'switch-on' at a click of your mouse. It's all up to you!

Professional Graphic Design

If you are a direct customer to us (that is not referred by a reseller) we will arrange for you to complete a web site brief which will outline details about your company/product so it gives us an idea of your branding, style etc.  If you are referred by a reseller they will do this for you, and they will supply us with your finalised design.

Once we interpret your web site briefing notes, we will construct a template for you to preview and to approve. We will 'tweak' this template design once for you and seek your approval once more.  By this tme we should have a workable model to start work on your web site.  Changes to the template after this point are billable at our Custom Design rate per hour.

Content Management System (CMS)

After we've completed your template design, we will get to work to customise it to fit into the CMS.  Your website will be database driven, and will allow you to maintain the content (text ,images and navigation items) of the website yourself or by one of your staff.

The CMS system will allow you to;

  • Add new pages
  • Modify current pages
  • Password protect individual pages.
  • Modify the navigation menu. For example, add more buttons, change the order, delete, hide.
  • Maintain the Meta tags to assist in automated search engine optimization.

Contact Us Form – Ideally no one should advertise a 'live' email address on their web site. This is where 'contact' forms become useful.  It allows a site visitor to fill out some details, write up an enquiry and then submit them to you via your CMS to your email inbox.  All the while your email addresses are safe from Spam Crawlers who run about the Internet picking up addresses off web sites and then sending copius amounts of spam emails to your inbox.

'Send Page by Email' – This form allows a site visitor to easily send a link of the page they are on, from your website, to anyone else via email. You can also use this feature to send specific web address to someone, for example, who you are on the phone to.  While you are talking you can send them the page you wish to their inbox, and so you can continue talking about your company/product without interupting your conversation.

‘Print this page’ link on every page. The site visitor, can easily print the page(s) they have seen on your site with one click of their mouse..

Sitemap page – Automatically generated sitemap used by the users as a ‘tertiary’ form of navigation, and by ‘search engine crawlers’ as an easy way to traverse the site when indexing it.

Image Manager – Within your CMS, you can manage images which are to be used on your web site.

You can either use the Media Manager to upload, then use the 'in-page' editor to

  • Insert image,
  • Resize images,
  • Decorate images (eg borders)
  • Align images in content page (left, right, center)
  • Upload more images as required

So, as you can see even our 'standard web site offering is actually quite comprehensive.
