Billabong Shade

Billabong Shade was established in 1995 and in 1996 we accidently but fortuitously found James Demetrie, the famous ìDiskmanî.  Like all new businesses we had to let the world know we existed and were ìopen for businessî.  Our first year’s turnover (without James) was $38K.  We asked Diskman to set-up a web presence for our business as the Yellow Pages wasn’t setting the house on fire for us.  James took us through the processes and explained why some things should be done and some should not.  A budget was set and our website was launched well within our skimpy budget.

The next four years saw our turnover improve by an average of 55% each year. We monitored the enquiries and found the website beat Yellow Pages 3 to 1. There was tweaking of the website from time to time and that is really where Diskman proved to be excellent value for money.  Whenever we encountered a problem or wanted advice Diskman was always available and never let us down. Because the internet is constantly evolving it is important to keep a website highly visible; the crew at Diskman have kept the Billabong Shade website at the top of page one of GOOGLE for the last 8 or 9 years.

Because more than 85% of our business is in someway website connected we have dropped Yellow Pages altogether Ö we get much more business and SAVE more than $12K a year.
